Chocolate Chip Protein Pancakes with Smashed Banana Frosting

Came up with the recipe this morning. I had a ripe banana that was about to go and had just bought some MetRx protein pancake mix from Vitamin Shoppe ($19.99), so I thought, "Why not?!"

14g protein

Ingredients-
2 scoops of MET-Rx protein pancake mix
1/3 cup almond milk
1 ripe banana
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp light butter w/ canola oil
Dash of vanilla
Dash of cinnamon
30 chocolate chips

Steps-
1. Gather all your ingredients.
2. Measure out butter and place into microwaveable bowl along with the ripe banana cut up.
3. Microwave for 30 seconds. Be careful, bowl might be hot.
4. Mash with whisk until all is incorporated.
5. Add powdered sugar and a little water/almond milk for desired thickness.
6. Combine protein pancake mix and almond milk.
7. Grab a non-stick pan and spray with non stick spray (Pam).
8. Cook pancakes until desired doneness. Don't forget to sprinkle a couple chips in right after you pour the batter into the pan so they have a chance to get all nice and gooey!
9. Plate up, drizzle with frosting, and demolish the delicious pancakes!
Nom Nom....so good.
